What is this?

Imagine Fallout if the apocalypse were outsourced to a joint venture between Michael Scott and Leslie Knope. Sheltered! is that fever dream–a legally distinct, MÖRK BORG-compatible TTRPG that squeezes nuclear capitalism, dystopian office jargon, and cryogenic chaos into just a single tri-fold brochure.

But wait, isn’t this just Fallout?
Absolutely not. Fallout has “Pip-Boys”. Sheltered! has “HAND-EYE™ neural implants”! Fallout has “Ghouls”. Sheltered! has “necro-adjacent citizens”! Fallout has "undeground bunkers" and “secret cryogenic facilities”. Sheltered! has "underground bunkers" and “secret cryogenic facilit–I mean… lots of sci-fi settings have those!

Is this… enough?
If by “enough” you mean “a fully functional game,” then yes—provided your definition of “functional” includes surviving on “Nico-Fresh™” chewing gum, unscripted chaos, and the GM’s ability to turn “D666 Apocalypse-Level Threats” into a story about satanic plants. The brochure leaves gaps, but hey–that’s what your creativity (and crippling fear of performance reviews) is for!

Sheltered! is the TTRPG equivalent of finding a “Routine Infrastructure Survey” form that’s actually a binding cryo-stasis contract. It’s janky, humorous, and probably not an OSHA violation. Play it, hack and tune it to your liking, laugh at the dystopia, and remember: progress prevails!
